๐๐ฑ Four cohorts. New skills. New opportunities.
The Mobile Journalism and Information Verification training has come to a close, marking an important milestone for young aspiring journalists and journalism students. On the final day, participants from the remaining two cohorts completed their training and received their certificates, celebrating their progress in mobile storytelling, content creation, and information verification. ๐ฅ๐
The afternoon brought participants together with media professionals for a networking event focused on career development and future opportunities. Representatives from radio stations Tirta FM, Ethio FM, and Harambe FM, alongside digital media organisations Tikvah and Birrmetrics, shared their experiences and announced internship opportunities that could lead to employment for outstanding performers.
โ The event concluded with a traditional coffee ceremony, giving participants and media representatives an opportunity to exchange experiences, share ideas, and build professional connections through one-on-one and group conversations.
The training was part of the โInformation and Active Citizenship for Peace and Securityโ project, implemented by OMNI Ethiopia and IMAGINE Foundation, with support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
