About This Project
Following a period of heightened conflict and information disorder in Ethiopia, OMNI Ethiopia worked with community radio stations to build local capacity to identify, counter, and produce content against misinformation and hate speech. The project resulted in a dedicated peace programming format adopted by participating stations
What OMNI Did
Lead trainer and content strategy partner — training design, delivery, and support to stations developing ongoing peace programming. Activities: Trained journalists and producers at 20 community radio stations; Launched The Voice of Peace broadcast show; Supported stations to independently produce peace programmes. Key outputs: 20 community radio stations trained; The Voice of Peace show launched; Station-led peace programming supported
